MiniDV tape is a format that you may not be able to watch on your home VCR. So if you choose to have a MiniDV master made, you'll need to have a VHS Work Tape which you can watch at home. The charge for a work tape is the same as the charge for a duplication.
If you decide to edit your tape and have it put onto a DVD, the charge for your VHS work tape will be credited to the cost of the editing. |
This work tape can be prepare with "time code" -- continuously displayed seconds, minutes and hours -- showing in a box in the lower corner of the screen.
Time Code is used to assist you in the preparation of an Edit Decision List (EDL) for editing your tape. An EDL is extremely useful when films are not in chronological order, when films contain uninteresting footage that you'd like to remove, footage that has darkened with age, or when you are preparing to edit from multiple tapes.
Once you've developed an Edit Decision List, come on in and we'll be glad to help you edit your tape into a family album you'll enjoy for years.
