The Venetian Window
The central doorway at the top of the steps in the ground floor is echoed in the second storey as a splendid Venetian window, and in the fan-shaped lunette in the building's pediment. A commonplace in Georgian architecture, the Venetian window is characterized by a large central opening, topped by an arched fan and flanked by columns and small, rectangular windows.
The detail below reveals the elegance of this construction.
