The HomePage of Professor Patricia Craddock at the Department of English, University of Florida, with a link to The World of London Theatre: 1660-1800. These excellent sites contain an assortment of maps, illustrations and texts, with links to Hogarth's engravings, History of Costume, "Women in Theatre After the Restoration" and 'The Age of Style, 1660-1800 -- Theatre," and a link to "Regency Fashion." A site rich in excellent external links.
18th Century Clothing Resources of the French and Indian War Period, maintained by The 18th Century Society. ( © 1998 by Raymond A. Washlaski, F&I War Magazine, The 18th Century Society.) A good resource, with even better links.
The Costume Society of America
The costume collection of the Rhode Island School of Design. It's also worth the time to look at the Museum's home page for links to other parts of the collection.

Drottningholm Court Theatre Visit the "History" link. For a sad commentary on the state of the theatre in Sweden visit also the link "A Sleeping Beauty slumbers again." [12/27/05]
Palais Royal, Paris. Théâtre du Palais-Royal, history and current events. In French.
Theatre Royal, Covent Garden Superficial but fun links to the Covent Garden Ballet, and some good pictures.
Chateau de Cirey -Voltaire's Residence: The Little Theatre. A "pop" account of Voltaire and Emilie de Chatalet, with several useful pictures, including photos of the theatre and some restored scenic pieces.

18th Century Art History Resources on the Web. This site, maintained by Professor Chris Witcombe at Sweet Briar College, has links to materials in all major historical periods. An excellent pictorial resource.

The Art History Museum Collection at the Australian National University. This is a wonderful collection that had disappeared for a while, but which resurfaced (for me) through the Louvre web site.
The National Gallery of Art. Good for a basic introduction to the 18th century art of France. The Gallery's home page has excellent links to the entire collection.
A Digital Archive of American Architecture. © Professor Jeffery Howe, Boston College. An excellent pictorial resource of 18th century building, in a collection of 17th through 19th century pictures.

The Association of Art and Antique Dealers: Georgia Antiques, West Sussex, England. Georgia Antiques specialize in 17th through 19th century furniture. The site contains excellent, full color pictures of their holding. Since it is updated regularly, the collection of images changes.
Antiques Avenue. This firm specializes in the sale of Furniture, Decorative Items, Art and Timepieces. The catalogue of 17th through 19th Century pieces is lavishly decorated, and changes constantly over time.
Hubbard Harpsichords. Use the links at the bottom of this page to explore the entire site for illustrations of period harpsichords.

Eighteenth Century Resources (on the Web). Edited by Professor Jack Lynch, Rutgers University. Dr. Lynch is a specialist in the 18th century, and maintains a series of extremely useful resource sites. Take a look at his home page as well.
Romantic Chronology Just what the name suggests: an excellent time-line from the late 17th century to 1851. Historic events, arts and letters. This site is maintained by Professors Laura Mandell, Department of English, Miami University, Ohio; and Alan Liu, Depatrment of English, University of California, Santa Barbara.
The Templeman Library, University of Kent at Canterbury, with its Theatre History Collection. is a gold mine of resources. Excellent links to 17th, 18th and 19th century resources, with a special section on the Savoy Operas.
